Walid Sheta President of Middle East & Africa Zone, Schneider Electric Walid Sheta is Schneider Electric’s President of the Middle East & Africa Zone as of November 2021. MEA Zone covers 6 clusters, serving around 80 countries. As the head of what is the global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation across the MEA region, Walid is committed to creating a more sustainable and inclusive future for all, using technologies and digital innovation to empower all to make the most of their energy and resources. Prior to holding his current position, Walid was the Cluster President of North East Africa and Levant contributing to critical national and private mega projects across the region. Walid began his career with Schneider Electric in 1994 holding various positions within the company across the globe among which the UAE, where he led on the creation of the first Regional Distribution Center for the company in Jebel Ali in 2001; then in France as International Accounts Manager for Schneider Electric Global Customers, before embracing the role of Strategy VP for Egypt and Africa.

Over the course of his career with Schneider Electric, Walid has developed a broad range of expertise in project management, production planning, sales, business development, marketing, and strategy. He contributed to several institutional endeavours, being the chair of the Egypt Committee of French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCEF) from 2018 to 2021, besides being the member of the supervisory board of the French University of Egypt (UFE). Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Walid Sheta graduated with a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the National Institute of Applied Sciences in France
