Frank Giustra is a Canadian entrepreneur and philanthropist known for his contributions across various industries. As CEO of the Fiore Group, he oversees a diverse portfolio of assets and is known for his ability to build natural resource companies through capital access and creative deal-making.
Throughout his career, he has founded multiple companies, including West Red Lake Gold, Nations Royalty Corp., Endeavour Mining, Wheaton Precious Metals, and Goldcorp. He served as Chair of Leagold Mining, which merged with Equinox Gold. Giustra has successfully raised in excess of $5 billion in equity for mining projects since 2001. Giustra also founded Lionsgate Entertainment in 1997, which has become one of the world’s largest film companies.
Philanthropically, he established The Giustra Foundation, supporting initiatives for women, children, and refugees, and launched Acceso to combat global poverty. As Co-Chair of the International Crisis Group since 2020, Giustra advises on conflict resolution.
For over two decades, Giustra has been writing and speaking on subjects such as philanthropy, gold, currency markets and economic history. He is a freelance contributing columnist for the Toronto Star. His honors include the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia.
