Mr. Chen is the founder and core leader of Zijin Mining. He has been serving in key leadership roles in the company since 1993 and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is a professor-level senior engineer and a recipient of the special allowance for experts from China’s State Council.

Well-known in China and internationally as an expert in the exploration and extraction of metallic mineral resources, Mr. Chen has had notable successes in key technological innovations and engineering management, including geological exploration, the comprehensive recovery of resources from low-grade and refractory ores, and the development of large projects.

Mr. Chen also holds several key positions: Vice President of the China Mining Association, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, and the China Gold Association; Vice Chairman of the China Occupational Safety and Health Association; member of the Board of Directors of the World Gold Council.
