Philip is Head of EMEA Natural Resources, Head of Global Metals & Mining Coverage.

Philip joined the firm in April 2012 from Goldman Sachs in London to be responsible for building the African investment banking business for the group, in which capacity he was head of Barclays Africa Investment Banking and a member of the Barclays Africa CIB Exco. He has over 25 years investment banking experience, based in London and Johannesburg.

Philip holds a BComm (Hons) in Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand and an MSc in Economics for Development from Oxford University
