Mr. Pascall has over 25 years of experience in mining, resources and finance and has been Chief Executive Officer of First Quantum since May 2022. He graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce in 1997 and completed an MBA at INSEAD in France in 2005. After several years in corporate finance and investment banking largely to resources and industrials industry clients in Australia, Asia and Eastern Europe he moved to work in the mining industry. After joining First Quantum in 2007 he spent eight years living in Zambia working on projects and operations across Kansanshi and in the DRC, before being appointed Assistant General Manager of the Sentinel copper mine. From 2015-2019 he was General Manager of the Cobre Panama copper mine in Panama. In 2019 he relocated to the United Kingdom as Director of Strategy and then Chief Operations Officer, prior to announcement of his appointment as CEO in November 2021.
